Frequently asked questions
The most common questions about collection, technology and partnership.
What do you collect?
Food and green waste from restaurants, hotels and landscapers: kitchen prep waste, plate waste and garden trimmings.
What does collection cost?
It is free of charge for partners. We provide dedicated bins and collect one to two times a week.
How often do you collect?
One to two times a week, adjusted to each partner’s needs.
What is vermicomposting?
Special worms and bio-bacteria process the organic waste. The Hungarian-patented method is 3–4× faster than conventional composting and produces premium compost in 10–12 weeks.
Does it work in Bahrain’s heat?
Yes. The worm species used thrives between −15 °C and +60 °C, and the technology is adapted specifically for extreme conditions.
Will the bins or the site smell?
The bio-bacteria treatment eliminates odours and prevents anaerobic rot — one of the technology’s main advantages.
What is made from the waste?
Premium organic compost, live worms and “vermi-juice” liquid fertilizer — all three are sellable products.
Who buys the compost?
Farmers, landscapers, grounds teams and private gardens — replacing soil products currently imported at 80–100 BHD per ton.
How does this fit Bahrain’s strategy?
The project aligns with Bahrain Vision 2030 and the National Environment Strategy 2023–2035, building the GCC’s first circular compost model.
How can I get involved as an investor?
We offer shareholder and sponsorship opportunities for CSR-oriented companies, with transparent ESG reporting. Contact us for details.
