Turning Bahrain’s Food Waste into Clean Energy & Green Value

Project Wasteless is a Public-Private Partnership that aims to build Bahrain’s first nationwide food waste-to-energy program — transforming daily waste into renewable electricity, compost, and carbon savings. With Bahraini employment at its core, and a digital tracking system for full transparency, we invite you to be part of a circular economy revolution.

What we do:

  • Collect food waste from restaurants, offices, schools & homes

  • Convert waste into biogas (renewable electricity)

  • Create organic compost for agriculture and green space

  • Monetize carbon credits through SAFA Bahrain

  • Provide real-time data dashboards for users and government

Stakeholder Support:

  • Supreme Council for Environment (SCE)

  • Ministry of Municipalities

  • Ministry of Industry & Commerce

  • Tamkeen

  • SAFA Bahrain (Carbon Credit Registry)

  • Local Municipalities & Waste Authorities

Note: All partnerships are currently in preliminary stages or under discussion. No formal agreements are signed as of now.
